Saddle Brook Jockey Club is a temporary horse racing simulcast facility in Amarillo, Texas opening on Friday, December 14, 2012. It is historic in that, for the first time, horse racing and sports fans in Amarillo and West Texas will be able to legally wager on horse racing.

Who is Saddle Brook Jockey Club?
Saddle Brook Jockey Club is born from Saddle Brook Park, the entity that owns the Texas Racing Commission license to build and operate a horse racing facility in Amarillo. In advance of constructing the track, Saddle Brook Park has been awarded live racing dates in 2014. Texas law permits temporary simulcasting of horse races for up to two years prior to the opening of a new race track in the state, thus paving the way for the Saddle Brook Jockey Club.
Saddle Brook Park, dba Saddle Brook Jockey Club is owned by two West Texas natives and brothers, Drew Alexander and Lynn Alexander, who also own the license for the horse racing track in Amarillo. Corey Johnsen and his company Magellan Gaming are the operating and management partners of Saddle Brook Jockey Club. Johnsen is the former president of Lone Star Park at Grand Prairie and now a part-owner of Kentucky Downs in Franklin, KY in addition to his Magellan Gaming company. Monte Griffin, General Manager of Saddle Brook Jockey Club, is also a stock holder and board member of Saddle Brook Park
